Barry George is a Cultural Activist and Entertainment Consultant who is involved in the arts and culture in St. Lucia. He is the founder and Artistic Director of the Silver Shadow Performing Arts Academy, which has been in existence for over 30 years. He has been involved in arts and culture in St. Lucia in various fields such as pageantry, Carnival, dance, entertainment, youth work and talent Coordinator and trainer. Through his work in the arts Mr. George and his academy has represented St. Lucia nationally, regionally and internationally through various festivals, seminars and judging opportunities, and presentations in the arts. He is a fixture in the Carnival arena and is currently the President of the St. Lucia Carnival Bands Association. Mr. George has received the St. Lucia Medal of Merit (Silver) for his work and selfless contribution to the arts, culture and youth work in St. Lucia.
